New cookbook and a 8 mile run

Since we've started to visit some of the local LA famers' markets, we've noticed that there are all sorts of delicious things there but we're clueless on how to cook them and what to pair them with. So, we decided to take a page (pun most certainly intended) from our favorite cooking duo in NorCal (my brothers-in-law, Eric & Ryan) and we got ourselves a farmers' market themed cookbook.  This particular one is called Williams-Sonoma Cooking from the Farmers' Market.  You can purchase it from the Williams-Sonoma site here or from Amazon.com.

We just got the book a few days ago so we haven't prepared anything from it yet. However, last night Carly was reading some of the recipes to me and they sound AMAZING! I can't wait to start making some of them. The book also has a great section in the front that tells you what produce is in season and little tidbits about certain fruits and veggies like how to tell when they're ripe.

Aside from drooling over this cookbook for a few hours, we also did our weekly long run officially ending our 4th week of half marathon training.  Our route  was an 8 miler that took us through Beverly Hills, Century City and then back home.

That's all for this week. Hasta luego!
